The Advisory Services Practice assists clients in meeting the increasing demands placed on them due to acquisitions, implementation projects or shortage of professionals to handle those short term assignments. Sandy McLaren is well known in Calgary as a "CFO's best friend" who can be seconded for a 2 week assignment or for one year to assist in developing the necessary framework then transitioning the role to a perm employee.

Their professional experience includes support O&G, Power Transmission, SCM for Construction & O&G entities to name a few.

Projects Include:
 

• Assisting Altalink in complying with the NERC and AESO's evolving Reliability Standards and ISO Rules (2011-2012)
• Risk & Compliance Coordinator for Enbridge G2B which is an ERP custom design build for their operational business units (2011). Sandy was a mid-project addition to the Enbridge Pipelink project. He developed a risk management and audit methodology for the project which were used as ongoing PMO tools. Project scope was $120M.
• Intangible Evaluation for an acquisition of an international acquisition
• IFRS conversion for two international manufactures with operations in Europe and Canada. Scope and assisted with their Q1 2011 financial statements.
• Project accounting support for a large international pipeline to capture all budget vs actual on a two year project in excessive of $140M.
• ERP project management support for an O&G services company on their assessment of IT control framework for their acquisition.
